In Which Leila Makes A Tired!Post

So, I am much too sleepy to make a full-blown post tonight.

But, I just had to say this: Um, you remember in this episode when she's all like "oh hey, love is just chemicals."

And remember last season when she was all like "I'm willing to accept Booth's premise that love is more than just chemicals"?

MAJOR REGRESSION ALERT, YA'LL.

Well, either that, or she's finally accepted that she was once (she still is, of course, but doesn't think that anymore) in love with Booth, BUT the only way she can allow herself accept that at this point is to believe that love is just chemicals. She can't have her cake and eat it to, she sees as of right now. Which, depending on how you look at it, could be a regression, or not.

OH, LORDIE. Do we have things to talk about.

Full post to come tomorrow afternoon.

  1. Usually I'm with you, but I can understand Bones on this one. When she said that she could accept Booth premise (accept, not believe in it or being convinced) she was in touch with her feelings, but not ready to admit them. Now her little faith in love has been shaken, because not even a year after his confession Booth shows up "being in love", and she doubts how real love can be when one person can be exchanged for another in such a small amount of time. While she was away, she embraced the thought of moving towards Booth, and now she is back and everything is different. She is in a defensive position, she needs to protect her fragile emotions. And that's - as far as I'm concerned - she does reject the idea of love being real and being something worth persuing. I'm sure she spoke of Booth when she admitted having felt the rush of hormones, and that's what it makes even more painful to see her struggeling with all the stuff she is confronted with.

  2. And I add a "why" to be inserted at the proper location ;)

  3. I'm with you there, though. I totally understand why and how she's ended up back in this place of seeing love as nothing but chemicals and hormones. I was just pointing out the actual fact of its happening.

  4. An the look on her face when she talks with Angela about how she's the only one living the life she expected. Damn!
I felt so sad for her throughout the episode.
She regressed alright. The thing is she cannot rely on Booth anymore to convince her love is real.
And Booth is being annoyingly loud about his love for Hannah. A desperate atempt do move on. But this is SOO going to bite him in the ass later.
